I did not reanalyse individual survival curves.\n\n**Findings.** Of **329** randomized participants, 219 received pertuzumab and 110 placebo with neoadjuvant/adjuvant trastuzumab-based therapy. At median **62.9 months** follow-up, 5-year event-free survival was **84.8% versus 73.7%** (HR 0.53, 95% CI 0.32-0.89). Only **23 deaths** had occurred; the 5-year overall-survival comparison was not statistically significant (HR 0.53, 95% CI 0.23-1.19). The trial's primary total pathologic complete-response endpoint was reported earlier. This report explicitly treats long-term survival endpoints as **descriptive secondary analyses**. It did not offer T-DM1 to patients with residual disease, and post-surgery response subgroups do not preserve randomized balance.\n\n**Limitations and uncertainty.** The small, unequal arms and few deaths limit precise overall-survival and subgroup inference. PEONY should not be presented as a direct randomized comparison of adjuvant HP versus T-DM1 for residual disease.
